Pukman @ WinK: the community that time didn't forget

Scholastic's Folk & Fairy Tale Easy Readers series is very easy, and a good choice for students who wish to increase their reading speed. These books are available in the PUK library.

In the sidebar, you can probably see the Odeo player for listening to a podcast. This is from podcasts in english. Please have a listen, and then visit the podcasts in english site if you enjoy it.

Do you know this movie? It's about the French Revolution, and it stars Kirsten Dunst (from the Spiderman movies). It's a great movie, and Kirsten Dunst is very good. It's still playing at some movie theaters, but it will finish soon.

Do you know this movie? The star, Forest Whitaker, won the Academy Award for best actor. It's about Idi Amin, the former president of Uganda. I think it's a great movie. It's playing now at many movie theaters!

I went to PUK with my daughter today. I had told her that there was an electric power cut and she said she wanted to see it! When she realised there wasn't anything to see, she said let's play on the sports field. There, I took a picture of this bush. I see these flowers everywhere, but I don't know what they are called. If you know, please tell me!

Some of you may have seen or heard of the 多聴多読 magazine. I just got the 1st and 3rd volumes, to complete my collection.

The previous post doesn't show up so well in some browsers, so here is another version!

Look at this great photo of the London Eye and the River Thames. This is one of the many photos taken by zakgollop.

Do you know the iTunes Store? I like it very much because I can look for music, and listen to 30 seconds of any song without paying anything. If I like it I can buy it on the store, or get a CD.

An interesting feature of the store is iMixes. These allow you to make a playlist for other people of your favorite songs. Please take a look at one of my iMixes!

Note that you can only listen to iMixes if you have iTunes. You can download iTunes free of charge for Windows or Mac. The iTunes Store may not work well in computer labs.

Hey everyone, please check out my bookshelf.

You can read a bit more about it on the ERC blog, and see another example here.

It's disappointing that Arsenal have lost their last 3 matches. Now they have been eliminated from the FA Cup and the Carling Cup. I hope they can finish 3rd or 4th in the Premier League.
