July 11th

Things to do to ensure a pass:

  1. Make sure you have read, understood, and acted on the copying rules.
  2. Make sure you have an average of 5 posts a week or more over the semester.
  3. Make sure those blog posts include at least 12 book reviews and 5 essays.
  4. Make sure your word total is high. If it isn't, write more before July 25th.
  5. Do a weblog assessment soon to check your present situation.
Things to do to improve your score, e.g. C > B, B > A:
  1. Write more!
  2. If anything is missing from your sidebar, add it (and update the weblog assessment report, changing NO to YES). In particular, make sure you have a links collection that includes at least one or two friends' blogs, at least one or two Kumamoto-related links, and a few other links of your choice.
  3. If you haven't been using many pictures in your blog posts, add some, for example book covers.
  4. Add all the books you've read to your LibraryThing account.
  5. Write more comments on friends' blog posts, and ask them to do the same for you.
  6. Add links to your posts, e.g. links to friends' blogs, and to sites connected to the post.
  7. Check the grammar and spelling especially carefully in your presentation. Add tags to your presentation in Slideshare.
  8. Edit your essays so that they each have at least 5 clearly-marked paragraphs.

  1. Hi Rick,

Where can I find a copy of the copying rules?
